The South East of England is an absolutely vital region in the UK's Subsea industry, making a huge contribution toward the energy sector's success in winning both national and global subsea projects.
While Aberdeen has long been Europe's oil and gas capital, London's commuter belt is rapidly establishing itself as a gateway for subsea companies looking to tap into the capital's financial sector and access key decision makers.
The subsea industry employs more than 40,000 people in the UK and has a $9 billion share of a $25 billion global market. The UK sector has grown by 25% in each of the last two years and exports 50% of its products and services.
Subsea Europe will take place on 24th November 2009 at the Business Design Centre in Islington. 57 companies from the subsea industry will be exhibiting at Subsea Europe which will also showcase cutting edge technology in the sector.
"Subsea Europe 08 proved to be a very successful event for Infield, bringing in senior executives from various disciplines of the subsea business. Being one of the largest oil and gas events held in London in 2008, SE08 attracted visitors who do not normally attend events elsewhere."
